Rana M Saud Khalid is the Chief Risk Officer at Ajman Bank. In his role has been instrumental in the establishment and evolution of the Risk function within the organization, a testament to his leadership and strategic foresight. His role involves comprehensive oversight of enterprise risk management, including credit, market, liquidity, operational, and fraud risks, amongst others. His responsibilities extend across the spectrum of risk management, capital management, stress testing, Basel implementation, and ensuring compliance with IFRS9, showcasing a robust understanding of both the micro and macro facets of banking risk.

Boasting an impressive career that spans over 18 years, Mr. Khalid’s expertise has been honed at notable institutions such as Ajman Bank, Dubai Islamic Bank, Ahmad Alman Aslam & Associates, and Citigroup in London, underscoring a global exposure that includes the UK, Pakistan, and the UAE.

His regional and international experience has not only contributed to his adaptability and cultural fluency but also enhanced his capacity to manage diverse teams and navigate complex regulatory landscapes. Mr. Khalid’s tenure has seen him leading transformative initiatives, from re-engineering processes at Ajman Bank´s Audit division to playing a pivotal role in implementing the IRB approach and internal risk rating initiatives at Dubai Islamic Bank.

Educationally, Rana brings a strong foundation with a Bachelor of Science in Management from King´s College, London, and is currently advancing towards completing his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA Level III) certification.
