Ajman Bank Website Reaps Best Structure Award
Ajman, UAE; May 20, 2012: Ajman Bank, the award-winning Islamic financial services institution committed to transforming the experience of Islamic banking, announced today that it has won ‘Best Structure Award’ for its website on the 6th UAE Web Awards Competition, the top website awards programme organized by the UAE Web Awards, member of Pan Arab Web Awards.  
  
The Pan Arab Web Awards were established to recognize, encourage, and reward creative, innovative and exceptional websites and social media sites  in the region and are widely considered as a benchmark of excellence in the industry, in terms of professional and international standards, GCC, Middle East, and North Africa markets.
 
The accolade was presented to Maryam Al Shorafa, Ajman Bank’s Head of Corporate Communications and Marketing  at a prestigious ceremony that was held at Al Bustan Rotana Hotel in Dubai and attended by Arab Ministers, Ambassadors, and VIPs, along with governmental figures and media personalities.
 
Mohamed Amiri, the Bank’s Acting Chief Executive Officer, commented on the winning: “Development through technology is the future, and most businesses today are mainly conducted through computers and websites. Ajman Bank has trotted out every possible customer convenience, offering customers the most advanced network of alternate communication channels and technologies.” He also added: “We are constantly working on improving our customer experience and enhancing customer loyalty.”
 
Maryam Al Shorafa, Head of Corporate Communications and Marketing, stated: “We are pleased to receive this award, which reflects the bank’s approach and commitment to provide its customers with a most gratifying Islamic banking experience across all its communication channels. Ajman Bank had recently won several accolades including ‘Best Customer Loyalty Programme’ by the Banker Middle East, ‘Best Syndicated Deal’ by Islamic Finance News (IFN), ‘Best Branding’ by Islamic Banking and Finance, ‘Best Home Finance Product 2011’ by the Banker Middle East, and “Best Small Bank” at the 2011 Bank Benchmark Index Awards, among others.
 
In 2011, Ajman Bank launched its Mahra Ladies Banking Division and opened four new branches, namely in Ajman (Masfoot and China Mall), Dubai (Jumeirah), and Al Ain (Al Ain Mall).
 
In a challenging financial environment, Ajman Bank maintained earnings momentum recording net profit growth of 75 per cent for the year ended 31 December 2011, and a breakthrough performance for the first quarter of the current year with a 154% increase in net profit recorded by the end of March 2012.
